✖ THE ORDER OF EREBOS

Order of Erebos
"Fear Not The Night"

DISBANDED

Mission Statement
Guided by a commitment to better understand, utilize, and protect against the ever-expanding unknown, the Order of Erebos is a growing outfit of individuals that are united by their intrepid bearing. Fear Not The Night is their mantra; as the words imply, not even the dreaded Black Mist that enters Erebos at nightfall is something that they fear. They pride themselves on being both scholars as well as warriors, and will rescue those in peril, vanquish that which threatens, and above all else, illuminate the darkness of the mind and this world, the Sphere.

Emblem & Artifacts
The Sun and Moon crest is the emblem of the Order of Erebos. The sun represents the Outworlder citizens themselves who are called Scorched by the Native denizens of this world, and the moon represents the Dark City, Erebos. The brooch which each member is given to wear bears a black circle in the center of the sun and the moon. This black circle is representative of the Gate itself.

Founder & Honorable Mentions
Isley, former member of the Alliance, owner of the Musha Observatory, and co-owner to the Staff School of Combat Arts, founded the Order of Erebos after having extensively explored and researched the Dark City on the other side of the Gate. The existence of the operation itself would not be possible without assistance from Priscilla, Rigaldo, Lelouch vi Britannia, Severus Snape, Edward Elric, and Tali'Zorah vas Normandy.

Operations & Duties
Character and discipline are established through hard work, and both are traits which the Order of Erebos holds in high esteem. Its members must never falter in the face of adversity; regardless of the challenge, they are expected to be steadfast and true. It is for this reason that hired help will not be employed by the Order. To prevent the diminishing of equal rights and responsibilities, all chores as well as other duties will be divided up between the current members and rotated regularly. In doing this, it is not only the intention of the Order to see all members gain experience in all fields, but also to weed out favoritism. Regardless of rank, you will be expected to do your assigned task. Inability to do so must be discussed first with one of the two commanding officers before one may be exempt.

Rotation of Duties Include: The assessment and training of new and current recruits, maintenance and upkeep of the barracks, the cartography of Erebos, researching and compiling notes on the Door and the Gate, exploration and expeditions into Erebos, headquarters guard duty, kitchen maintenance and upkeep, on-call rescue, and weapons and arms repairs.

Payment of Wages
Given the dangerous nature of the work involved, generous wages are supplied to each of the members of the Order on a monthly basis. Full-time members will receive 300 ivories on the first of each month, and part-time members will receive 150 ivories. Bonuses will be supplied upon demonstration of outstanding performances, and wage increases may occur for longstanding members or those who find themselves promoted in rank. Similarly, any acts which, while on duty, tarnish the reputation of the Order may be subject to the deduction of wages of the offending party, or punishment by other means depending upon the severity of the transgression.

The Garrison
Once a church, this building has been repurposed as the base of operations or headquarters for the Order of Erebos. It lies not far from the Gate within the city of Wynn, and is surrounded by scenic views and a small wrought iron fence. A tower mounted with four clocks hugs the right wing of the building; the topmost level acts as the primary lookout post.

Through the main doors one enters the Cardinal Hall. Slender and tall wooden columns reach from the floor to the ceiling, and from the front of the hall to the very back are an alignment of sleek wooden pews. This hall, once used for sermons, acts now as the "war room" for members of the Order of Erebos. A door along the right hand side of the wall leads to the Lookout Tower. Upon the dais at the back of the room, to the left of a table strewn with maps, is another door which leads to the Mess Hall. Wood-carved tables and benches are provided for members of the Order to take their meals. Arched doors on either side of the room look out onto grassy courtyards ideal for sparring. A final door in the back of the room leads to the kitchen. Still within the Mess and to the right of the door which leads to the kitchen is an open staircase which leads to the basement.

Down the winding stone steps one will find themselves within an area that looks to have once been a dungeon meant to hold heretics. A long hall stretches ahead, twelve cells in total lining the walls—six to either side. While once they might have been unpleasant, each has been transformed to appropriately house members of the Order as necessary. This is the Barracks. Though stark, each room consists of a (twin size) wooden bunk bed, two storage chests, a wooden table and two chairs. One window, raised high, provides light and prevents flooding, and there are also lighting fixtures upon the walls for use. Members are free to decorate these chambers however they see fit, and to provide privacy, the cell locks upon the doors have been reversed. Duplicate keys will be provided to those who share quarters with another.

Anders | Forge Contact
Position: Part-Time.
Expertise Area: Magic
Ability & Skills: Exceptional healing ability, creative with herbs and making potions/balms to suit needs, immune to Darkspawn taint (like that's ever going to come up but hey), battle-tested spellcaster, very skilled with the staff he carries on his back which means he can use it something like a quarterstaff. Learns quickly, modifies spells on his own.

If Justice is in control his combat capabilities go up, as well as introducing a risk of friendly fire. Justice will focus on foes, but if an ally gets in the way or tries to forcibly stop him, he may retaliate. Justice fixates on bringing justice because that's not just a name, that's what he is, the personification of the notion of justice.

Anders would officially notify Isley that if they need Justice to back down from something, they've got to talk to the spirit and Anders, and it's got to be someone Anders trusts.
