[Griffith releases the force field before he even speaks a word, allowing Rigaldo to drop to the floor without warning. Oops.]

We thought we'd have a little chat. Unfortunately, Isley left your outfit downstairs.

[For a moment Isley's not sure whether to laugh at Rigaldo's predicament or to call Griffith out on unnecessarily dropping his lieutenant without warning.]

[It's just a moment, however. It passes and he smiles.]

Stand up, Rigaldo.

I'm certain Griffith would prefer I not leave such dull attire in his home, so he won't mind opening up another tunnel so you can collect your clothes and get dressed.

Action, two guys walk into a bar and the third ducks

[Well then that was totally unnecessary. Rigaldo pulls himself to his feet and doesn't waste any time in affecting his usual posture. His voice, on the other hand, is far more clipped than normal. As long as we're all being assholes here.]

I don't care about the clothes.

[He shoots Griffith a look, dark and resentful but not... quite threatening. He knows better now.]

You intend to just let us leave, is that it?

Action, quack

I don't see why not. I've gotten what I wanted from this meeting, even if you haven't.

[What an annoying smile.]

As for the clothes... ah. Here.

[He looks into the shadows of the Attic, and holds his hand in the deepest pits of it. And there, something moves. It moves across his palm, and its one eye glitters in the light.]

Go and fetch those for me.

[A moment later, that something scurries off his fingertips, and disappears into the darkness.]

Action, goose

[Isley's eyes follow the movement of that hand into the shadows where he presumes another of those unforgiven await. So quick to take orders, those creatures...and it's gone once they've been given, slinking off into the shadows, its one eye disappearing from sight.]

[It's not unlike Rigaldo in its readiness to perform certain tasks, although presently the other man is not behaving himself very well.]

I've gotten what I wanted. [More or less.] In a roundabout way.

It looks as though it's worked out for everyone involved.

...You too, Rigaldo. You're not dead, after all.

Action, h...awk...??

[...what. What is that. What is he sending to get its disgusting mutant appendages all over his clothes. Really.]

[Rigaldo stares after it until Isley addresses him, at which point he snaps his attention over to the man speaking.]

As ever, Isley, I appreciate your lowering of standards to make the best of the situation.

[He gives another glance at Griffith, too, just in case he thinks he's off the hook here.]

I assume this means my contract is over.

Action, swan

That kind of dry humor... I'm not sure I appreciate it.

[Griffith stretches his arms in front of him for a moment, and then nods.]

But yes, it seems your contract has reached its conclusion.

It's a shame. I think I'll miss the company.

Action, phoenix!

[silverking]

[There is a moment where Isley is tempted to tell Griffith that he is welcome to borrow Rigaldo, and while he is at it, to talk some sense into him, but that moment passes.]

[Instead Isley watches his lieutenant, and then speaks calmly.]

You really don't appreciate anything. Perhaps next time I'll leave you to some stranger's attic after all.

[And to Griffith.]

There is something else I want to ask you.
