It seems he has been very busy attempting to extort money from Natives, but because of his Network blunder everyone knows that.

He contacted me this morning to make an enquiry regarding my services.

The nature of said enquiry put me in mind of you. Would you say the nature of your relationship with him is contentious enough to warrant concern for your safety?

I do so prefer to refrain from discussing the details of my business dealings, but given your previous conflicts with him...there will be no business between us, I should think.

He asked for a liquid which, when coated on a blade, would stop the regeneration process of "a creature". I immediately thought of you.

[And, of course, how such a potion would be immediately traced back to him thanks to that arm he's storing.]

I wonder if such a liquid would even work.

[For starters, in his awakened form his flesh would be very hard to cut. No ordinary sword would be able to pierce it. Furthermore, even if he was cut by such a weapon, the toxin would need to infect him to become effective, and his body naturally rejects toxins. Even if it could work, further severing flesh from the infected area before it spread would cease the toxin's function and allow him to regenerate once more.]

[And even if it did not, his power and his speed alone could crush the wielder of such a weapon. It had taken a hoard of Abyss Feeders to bring him down, and later the Destroyer at close range. A boy with a tempered toy was nothing.]

I suggest you warn the others like yourself. I am not the only one in Anatole with the capability to create potions - even if this one might be beyond my abilities - and I am certain he will simply find another with whom to do business when I refuse.

I'll bring it to the attention of the necessary parties, though they're not my sole concern.

Who do you feel might make such a potion, Severus?

[There's a pause here while he deliberates.]

Bellatrix Lestrange, Nymphadora Tonks, Remus Lupin, Hermione Granger, Lily Potter, and Draco and Lucius Malfoy are from my world, though none of them have my skill with potions.

[Begrudgingly:]

Save Granger, perhaps.

[Anyway.]

Of them, Bellatrix and the Malfoys might be coaxed to Rivaille's side. Bellatrix needs only a reason to cause mayhem, and the Malfoys are swayed by greed and ambition. Occasionally.

[Another pause as he lists those not of his world.]

Anders might, if he is not given the entire story. Of course, a small offence from Rivaille would put him off it. Roger of Conte may also have some skill in that area, and those associated with him. I don't know his allegiances or morals.

I will be sure to keep an eye on those that might prove troublesome, though I've not met the Malfoys, Anders or Roger.

Do you know if Rivaille has had contact with any of them?

No.

I doubt it, however, to the Malfoys' end. Draco has no wand and has not advertised his skill in magic, and Lucius only just arrived.

Severus, might I ask a favor of you? To help keep an eye on those named. After all, you would recognize suspicious behavior sooner than I would in those whom you know already.
